Dear FL JG Families Past, Present & Future, 

Happy New Year!  It’s that time again.  Time to kick JG Season 2 into full swing.  Below I have listed the vision for this season, along with points of interests & information. 

If you are planning on returning, please make sure you get your email of intent in to Jgadmn@aol.com by this Friday so that we can plan accordingly.  Returning Jg’s will not need to reapply or pay application fee again.  If we do not hear back from you by Friday, we will assume that you will not be returning. 

If you are not planning on attending in this next season, we pray many blessings upon you and your family in whatever God is calling you to do.  

2012 VISION - God is into the NEW!  Just when we think we’ve got it figured out, He goes on before us and takes a different direction.  Our goal this season will be to raise money for several different areas.  Our main fundraising goal will be to open up our own facility (with raised floors for the protection of our dancer’s legs) in August of 2012 which will house The Joshua Generation, Shining Starz Dance Studio & be a community facility for others to rent from, such as the local theater groups.  We will accomplish this vision by preparing a JG Dinner Theater that will run three days in May.

 
NEW APPLICANTS - We are now accepting new JG applicants for our Winter/Spring 2012 Season.  Please pass on this information to anyone you know that might be interested! 

FUNDRAISERS - 
Dance-A-Thon - Friday, January 27th or Saturday, January 28th, 9am - 9pm - Please invite your friends to participate in the fun & raising money!  

JG Dinner Theater - Friday, May 18th, May 19th & May 20th - Times & locations TBA - JG Showcase while audience enjoys Pasta, Salad & Dessert Buffet.  
Funds raised will go towards opening the new JG/Shining Starz Facility in August. 

Program Ads - In March we will begin selling program Ads for the JG Dinner Theater program.  JG’s will have the opportunity to raise a percentage for their Camp Joshua Fees and/or Dance Teacher Training Camp. 

EVENTS 

Ministry Opportunity - Tampa Underground Church - January 29th - 10am - JG’s will be leading the Children’s worship service.  More information to come. 

JG Dinner Theater - Friday, May 18th, May 19th & May 20th - Times & locations TBA - JG Showcase while audience enjoys Pasta, Salad & Dessert Buffet. JG Showcase will comprise of a praise & worship set from the band & pieces from The Joshua Generation & Shining Starz. 

FPEA - Not able to perform this year.  However, we welcome all JG's to come and support our graduating seniors, Mariah & Caleb! 

*Optional - JG Group to come to TN & Minister at Shining Starz Dance Studio’s first recital - June 1st - 3rd 

Camp Joshua - July 9th - 14th - Deer Run Retreat, Thompson’s Station, TN 

$50-$75 off Camp Fees if you register by January 15th.  Please see the camp page for more information & to register.

We are asking a group of Joshua Campers to stay on and lead worship at Grace Chapels 4th-6th grade Overnight camp, July 15th-18th. JG’s will stay at The Amor’s House. 

Spring Break - April 9th - 13th 

Parents - If anyone has any suggestions on facilities to hold our Dance-A-Thon & JG Dinner Theater please let Miss Lisa know as soon as possible.  Please keep on the lookout for a facility that we can lease in August for The Joshua Generation/Shining Starz Dance Studio. 

Teacher Training Camp - Dates TBA - In June we will have a Dance Teacher Training Camp in Tennessee for those interested in teaching our Shining Starz Dance Program.  Trainees will have class time where they learn the program, how to teach, how to work with children, procedures & safety.  Trainees will also get hands on application at the Shining Starz Dance Camp while working with the little dance campers.  Trainees will have the potential of teaching or assisting Shining Starz Classes in either Brandon, FL or Franklin, TN in the future.  Cost: $200 (includes rooming, food & training)  More information to come.... 

We are in the process of updating our website with all of this new information.  We are so excited for this NEW season and all God is up to!  We would be honored to have you join us!
