The Joshua Generation II - is a Christian Musical Theater & Production Evangelism Company as well as a Discipleship Program that gathers talented artists & production crews to put together new works to reach the lost & bring hope to those in need.

The Joshua Generation II - Trainee Ages

*JG's are divided into groups & levels by skill and not age. Placement is determined by director.
Discipleship & RehearsalsJG II's meet for 4-6 hrs per week joining JG I's for acting & voice training along with bible Study, prayer and praise & worship time. They also have the option of adding a dance class and/or band.
JG Required Training Schedule
The Joshua Generation is a 9 month discipleship and training program, which is broken into 2 seasons:
Season I begins Monday, August 22, 2011 and ends on Friday, December 16, 2011
*Season II begins Monday, January 9, 2012 and ends Thursday, May 24, 2012
*Season I for JG II company members will have 1 required day that will include Bible Study as well as training in voice & acting. JG II trainees can also choose to add a dance class or band as well.

Balance in each individual life as well as family life is very important to the overall health of this group. Unity amongst all families in the group is a must. The opposite of unity is division, meaning 2 visions. The Bible states in Mark 3:25 ".....a house divided against itself, that house cannot stand."
After many of years of perfecting this schedule to work with our own individual family as well as the other families in the group in keeping balance and unity, we have found this schedule works the best.
As you can see, JG II has a moderate commitment in comparison to JG I, not only on the part of the disciple, but on the parents. We do not consider this to be an added activity to ones schedule, but a part time ministry of like minded families raising their children together in unity and like mindedness. We then go out and share our love for Christ with those that need encouragement and hope. We expect full commitment to the 3 hours of discipleship. JG's are allowed to participate in other activities such as sports and music lessons, however, we do ask you to prayerfully consider what you say yes to, and ask you not to be divided or out of balance at home or with the group. As well, JG II is not guaranteed performance, discipleship comes first. When we feel you are ready, you may be asked to go on any trip or opportunity that opens up. You will then be asked for your availability concerning an event. If you are available, a confirmation will be sent to you if you are chosen for a specific performance.

SCHOLARSHIPS -

The Joshua Generation will never turn
anyone away for lack of funds. Email us for more information. Please
include (1) sufficient details to demonstrate eligibility for
scholarship, (2) the number of applicants in your family, and (3) the
amount you can afford to pay.
Tuition for August will be due on the first day of discipleship, no exceptions. Each payment after that will be due on the day of the first class of that new month. Tuition is not based on a per class/per day per month rate. Tuition is a monthly fee. which includes discipleship training & rehearsals. Trainees are responsible for instruments, dance attire, shoes, under garment performance pieces such as tights and nude leos, cover up, costumes & travel costs (where applicable)
Requirements
Natural giftings, prior training and past experience in dance, acting or singing, specific instruments, etc.. is always a plus but is NOTa requirement. However, a passion within the child to learn and use these gifts and talents to glorify God and bring hope to people IS a requirement. If the child is willing, passionate & teachable, we can teach them almost anything. Musical theater & production is like the body of Christ. It encompasses all levels, skills and giftings of its cast to present a visual message that it's audience engages in.
The Joshua Generation Band The Joshua Generation Band is an optional addition to JG I as an 11th hour & JG II as a 5th hour or JG II Band only which is 2 hours & includes Bibles Study and an hour of band rehearsal. JG band members must go through an audition process & are accepted by invitation only. JG's must have either vocal and/or instrumental experience. JG's playing instruments must own their own equipment. This is not a time where disciples learn to play or sing, but a time where they get to put all they've learned together. We are looking for lead singers, back up singers, & those who can play the guitar, bass, violin, drums, keyboards, etc...Band time will consist of rehearsals as well as song writing times. JG's may have opportunities to minister as well as record their original songs in the recording studio, providing we find that they are ready. *JG's Band members are not promised that they will perform or record with the group.
This past year, we had our first group, "Nothing But Everything". This year presents a new
opportunity to create a new band.
Home School
Because family is such an important part
of the success and unity of the company & discipleship, we believe
there must be balance at home in order for this ministry to be in
line with God's will & successful. Therefore all Joshua Generation I & II Company
participants must be home schooled, with our training taking place
during the day. This enables all JG's to be back at home eating dinner
with their families. Along with our weekly schedule, the freedom of home
schooling also gives the Joshua Generation freedom to travel when God
opens doors.
Due to a later schedule & less time commitment, we will allow schooled youth to participate in JG II Band.
Ministry Opportunities
The Joshua Generation may minister locally at churches, children's churches, events and more. In this new season, we will be ready for performance/ministry at any given time. JG's are not guaranteed to perform, but will be chosen as opportunities open up.
